BT Vision adds WarnerFilms
UK telco BT has added the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service WarnerFilms to its hybrid IP+DTT service 'BT Vision', offering a large selection of recent movies and titles from Warner Bros. The WarnerFilms service offers subscribers access to 28 movies each month, with seven new titles added each week. Titles will include: Goodfellas, Zodiac, Training Day, Superman and Cats & Dogs. The new service joins BT Vision's existing Film Club Pack, as well as the SVOD TV service WarnerTV. BT Vision customers can subscribe to WarnerFilms for GB£ 4.99 (US$ 7.50) per month, or as part of the new Film Club pack for GB£ 6.99 per month. "Back in 2007, BT Vision was one of the founding partners for our WarnerTV SVOD service, so it's fitting that three years later we're working with them again on the UK launch of WarnerFilms," said Malcolm Dudley-Smith, Executive Vice President of Business Management for Warner Bros. International Branded Services. "This exciting new service gives consumers another way to access our world-class content at the touch of a button, 24 hours a day," said Dudley-Smith. BT had reached 451,000 subscribers for BT Vision by the end of 2009, up slightly from the 436,000 customers it had reported three months previously
